Dawn Gropp

My entire career has been centered around client and customer service. I’ve always enjoyed working directly with people, and I bring compassion, empathy, organization, and strong communication skills to every client interaction.
I love working in bankruptcy law because it allows me to walk alongside people during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Helping clients find relief and stability — and seeing their gratitude at the end of the process — is incredibly rewarding.
Education & Training
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Business
-
North Carolina Paralegal Certification
Personal Background
When I earned my paralegal certification, I wasn’t sure what to expect. To my surprise, I was hired within one of my very first interviews — and nearly ten years later, I’m still here with the same firm.
It’s never easy to watch people struggle, but knowing I can help them find peace of mind makes the work deeply meaningful to me.
Outside the Office
Outside of work, I love anything involving water — the beach, the lake, the pool, or the river. Spending time outdoors helps me recharge and relax.
I’m also the proud mom of two teenage boys. Watching them grow up has been one of life’s greatest joys, though I’ll admit I don’t know how the years have flown by so quickly!
Fun Facts
-
I was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida.
-
My favorite movie is Pretty Woman.
-
After a long day, I enjoy taking a walk while listening to music, or joining my boys if they’re around.
Emily Hutcherson

When I talk with clients, I try to provide compassion and clear communication. I know how stressful financial struggles can be, and I want every client I speak with to feel heard, supported, and informed throughout the bankruptcy process. I truly enjoy helping people — especially when I can show them that filing for bankruptcy doesn’t mean losing everything. It’s rewarding to help clients understand that they can often keep their homes and vehicles and still get the financial fresh start they need.
I graduated from High Point University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. While I didn’t start out in the legal field, I quickly found bankruptcy law fascinating and meaningful once I began learning about it.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and our two children. We enjoy relaxing together at home — usually watching a good show, reading, or sharing some chocolate after a long day.
A fun fact about me: growing up, I always wanted to be a news anchor or reporter! These days, my favorite movie is Miracle on 34th Street (the color version), and my favorite TV show is Blue Bloods.
