Anne Salter
I became an attorney because I wanted a career where I could make a difference in my community and help others. Several of my mentors growing up were attorneys, and I admired how they used their profession to support people during difficult times.

I was drawn to consumer bankruptcy law because it offers a concrete solution to an overwhelming problem. At Duncan Law, my focus is on client consultations and representing individuals in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. Helping people understand their options, guiding them through the process, and celebrating with them at the finish line is deeply rewarding.
Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, I now call Asheville home. Outside of work, I’m an avid tennis player and love spending time with my family, including our two corgis. Music has also been a big part of my life—I earned my undergraduate and Master’s degrees in clarinet performance. These days, I’ve traded performing for being a proud listener and cheerleader for the musicians in my family.
My approach to working with clients is compassionate and collaborative. It’s essential for clients’ stories to be heard and for us to work together toward a solution. My goal is for each person to leave our meetings with a clear understanding of their legal options and peace of mind that there’s a path forward.
